Privacy Statement for Twitter Page

This Privacy Statement is intended to provide clarification about how personal data (hereinafter referred to as “Data”) is processed by Twitter, the extent to which it is processed and the purpose of such processing. ZinCo uses the technical platform and the services of Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103 USA, for the short message service offered here.

Twitter International Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2 D02 AX07, Ireland, has responsibility for data processing in relation to persons who are resident outside of the United States.

We would like to point out that that you yourself are responsible for using the Twitter message service offered here and its features. This applies in particular to the use of interactive features (e.g. sharing, assessing).

We have no influence over the type and extent of the data processed by Twitter, over the type of processing and use or over the disclosure of this data to third parties. Nor do we have any means of regulating the above.

By using Twitter, your Data is collected, transferred, stored, disclosed and used by Twitter Inc. and, regardless of your place of residence, it is transferred to the United States, to Ireland and any other country in which Twitter Inc. does business, and it is stored and used there.

On the one hand, Twitter processes data which you have provided voluntarily by uploading or synchronising it, for example, your name, user name, email address and the telephone numbers or the contacts in your address book.

Twitter also assesses the content shared by you, in order to establish the topics that interest you; with the aim of sending you advertising material or other content, it stores and processes confidential messages which you send directly to other users, and it can determine your location based on GPS data, on information on wireless networks or by way of your IP address.

Twitter Inc. may use analytical tools such as Twitter Analytics or Google Analytics to assess the data. ZinCo has no influence over the use of such tools by Twitter Inc. and was not informed about any potential use of these tools. If Twitter Inc. is using this type of tool for our Twitter account, we have not commissioned this, permitted it or supported it in any way. Also, the data generated by means of such analysis is not made available to us. We have access only to certain, non-personal information about Tweet activity, for example, about the number of profile or link clicks from a specific tweet. Apart from this, we have no way of preventing or stopping the use of such tools in connection with our Twitter account.

In any case, Twitter receives information even if you haven’t used your own Twitter account, for example, when you look at content. This information or “logs” can be your IP address, your browser type, the operating system, information about the previously visited website and the web pages accessed by you, your location, your mobile phone provider, the end device you are using (including the device ID and application ID), the search terms you use and cookie information.

Twitter uses Twitter buttons or Twitter widgets that are embedded in websites and also cookies to collect information about your visits to these websites and to assign this information to your Twitter profile. Based on this data, you may be offered content or advertising tailored to you.

It is possible to limit the processing of your data under the “settings” for your Twitter account and under the tab “Privacy and safety”. Furthermore, in the case of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets), you may limit access by Twitter to your contact and calendar data, photos, location data etc. by adjusting the settings on your device. However, this will depend on the operating system used.
