Project report

The residential complex Anker-/Molehusene in Holbæk is beautifully located near the old harbour and overlooking the fjord. The local development plan prescribed to provide exclusively underground parking areas to make sure that the sea view remains free. As a result of these regulations, large and lush roof gardens with big trees, bushes and perennials were built on top of the underground garage between the single buildings. The intensive green roofs were realized with the system build-up Roof Garden using Floradrain® FD 40-E elements to ensure water storage and unhindered drainage. The private gardens which belong to the apartments in the basement are hidden behind a hedge. Furthermore, there are walkways and extensive green roofs under which the shallow the Drainage Mat DBV 12 or Floradrain® FD 25-E elements were used as a drainage element. From the slightly curved public path you can see and smell a colourful interplay of drought resistant plants.
