ZinCo became part of the Holcim Group on February 1, 2024. Holcim is a global market leader for innovative and sustainable building solutions.

ZinCo GmbH will continue to operate as an independent company with its current Managing Directors. ZinCo‘s proven system and product portfolio will also remain in place as will its brands and locations. Indeed, the same committed ZinCo team will continue to look after our projects and commissions.
ZinCo is a global leader in extensive and intensive green roofs. Our research projects and innovative system developments are an inspiration for architects and discerning clients in their holistic approach to the planning of sustainable private commissions and larger scale projects in the public realm. Stormwater management and Stormwater Management Roofs are becoming ever more important here. The company was set up by Walter Zink as a master craftsman business in Unterensingen in 1957 and has been operating in the green roof sector since the mid-1980s. In 2002, Ulrich Schäfer, Dieter Schenk, Frank Stribel and Roland Appl took over the company as part of a management buy-out. The sales manager for Germany, Manfred Krüger, has also been a partner since 2014. The company relocated to Nürtingen, near Stuttgart, in 2012, and currently has a staff of approx. 100.
